Village Strategic Plan - Top down management
Below is yet another document, in the flurry of documentation and studies, meant to overwhelm readers and transform our Village. This is called the Strategic plan, and is only found in a board meeting packet (here) no where else publicly.
Flow Chart - This one page is found in a few locations but I included it here to tie all the documents together. Even though this says draft, it is well on it’s way to our future. All the actual committees (“policy committee”) simply consist of three trustees. All the committees as we know them (“advisory committee”) are now simply sub-committees, appointed by board members, with a as-need status. To make things worse, our committees generally consisted of residents with a passion for Parks, or the Marina, or our Village equipment, now they will consist of residents only hand picked by trustees to advance the “policy committee’s” agenda.
In the new system, each Trustee gets to appoint one resident to each of the newly downgraded resident committees. This constant change in committee membership removes all institutional knowledge and eliminates members driven by passion. These are the very traits which prevents the Village from marching down blind and expensive paths.

This is not on our Village website. I spent a number of hours trying to understand what the New Governance structure is. It’s obvious after a long back and forth study, it looks benign it read with a glance.
This along with the rest of the images are copied from our Village New Governance webpage.
